About Us

The newspaper of the Student representation

Sprachrohr is the official newspaper of the Student representation, published in collaboration with the Studierendenwerk Würzburg. Behind the newspaper is the Press Department of stuv – an editorial team of students who write, photograph, design layouts and organise.

In addition to current, university and student political topics (e.g. university elections), you can expect cultural content and much more. The newspaper is distributed free throughout the university.

Newspaper, Campus Newsletter and Blog

The printed newspaper appears as a rule once per semester, each issue with its own theme – most recently "Utopia" (SoSe 2026). All issues since 2019 are available in the Archive.

The Campus Sheet has existed since October 2025: News from campus, directly from the student body, in short format – also in the Archive.

The Blog at sprachrohrwuerzburg.wordpress.com brings regular new posts: from university and politics, campus and life, literature and art – and on what moves us.

Where is Sprachrohr distributed?

The printed newspaper is available free of charge in the university buildings at Hubland and in the city centre, in the canteens and in halls of residence run by the Student Services Organisation.

Haven't you seen Sprachrohr at your institute or in your hall of residence yet? Write to us with the location at stuv-sprachrohr@uni-wuerzburg.de – and we'll distribute it there in future.
