Hosting

The website runs on a server in the data centre of Universität Würzburg. For hosting, fonts and statistics, we do not use any third-party services. Fonts and emoji graphics come from our own server. We do not use any analysis or tracking tools.

Log data

When you access the website, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, accessed address, status code, amount of data transferred, browser identification and the previously visited page. We need this data to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. The log data is deleted no later than 30 days after collection. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4 para. 1 BayDSG.

Cookies

If you only read the website, we do not set any cookies. Two technically necessary cookies exist only after login: with university login, a signed cookie with your sNumber/university user name, which expires after one hour, and when logging in to the editorial system, a session cookie for editors. The legal basis is § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG.

Login with your sNumber/university user name

Some documents, for example minutes and resolutions, are only visible to members of the university. When you log in, your user name and password are transmitted encrypted to the university's directory service (auth.uni-wuerzburg.de). There it is checked whether you are a member of the university. Your password is not stored, and no user account is created. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4 para. 1 BayDSG.

When you write to us or call us, we process your information in order to handle your enquiry. We delete it as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.

Mailing lists

The Montagsmail (MoMa) and the HoPo newsletter run via the list servers of the DFN Association (listserv.dfn.de). The website only links to them. The DFN Association's data protection declaration applies to subscription and unsubscription.

Content from other providers

  • Occupancy plan: We embed the occupancy plan of the stuv hub from Teamup (Teamup Solutions AG, Kreuzstrasse 42, 8008 Zurich, Switzerland). It is only loaded when you click "Load content". Teamup then receives your IP address and can set cookies; Teamup logs connections to its servers. An adequacy decision by the EU Commission applies to Switzerland.   • Videos: Embedded videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, via youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., USA) are also only loaded after you click "Load content". Only then is your IP address transmitted to the provider.
  • Legal basis for embedded content is your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG, which you give by clicking.
  • Maps: On event pages we display map excerpts from OpenStreetMap. Your browser loads the map tiles from servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) and transmits your IP address in the process.
  • Social media: We only link to Instagram. No content from Instagram is loaded on the website.

Your rights

You have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and objection (Art. 21). You can revoke your consent at any time (Art. 7 para. 3). You can also lodge a complaint with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection (datenschutz-bayern.de).

Language version

Only the German version is legally binding. The English version is an automatic translation.
