Running Dinner
Three courses, three kitchens, twelve new people: At the Running Dinner you cook one course as a pair for yourselves and two other teams. You eat the other two courses at the homes of unfamiliar teams. You both stay together; the group changes with each course.
All students from Würzburg can take part: from Uni Würzburg, THWS and the Academy of Music, from all subjects. All you need is a team of two, a kitchen and ideally a witty team name.
How the evening works
Starter
The evening starts with the starter, most recently at 18:30. A third of the teams cook, the others come to visit.
Main course
It continues in a new kitchen with new people at the table, most recently from 20:00.
Dessert
Finally the dessert, most recently from 22:00. After that, the evening often continues together.
Registration
Registration is via stuv-runningdinner.de. There you enter your team, give your kitchen address and say what you eat: vegan, vegetarian or with meat, how spicy and whether alcohol is included. Later you'll receive an email telling you who you're cooking for and where you're invited.
Registration costs four euros per team, so two euros per person. Payment is made directly during registration. You can cancel free of charge until the end of the registration deadline, after that the allocation has already been completed. You can participate from 18 years old.
When the next Running Dinner will take place is not yet fixed. News will be posted first on Instagram.
Good to know
Register with the more centrally located accommodation if you have the choice. To keep the distances between the corridors short, the organising team only accepts kitchens in a specific area of the city.
Enter this in the registration form, even if only the two of you from the flat are taking part. This way the organising team avoids errors in the allocation.
Until the end of the registration period, you can cancel free of charge. After that, it is no longer possible because the teams and courses will have been allocated by then.
The Running Dinner has existed at the medical faculty for some time. A small student organising team has turned it into an event for all universities in Würzburg. The organiser is stuv e.
