Good to know
The Erstitag is new: stuv brings together central facilities of the university on one afternoon that make your study start easier. Amongst others, the University Library, the Centre for Academic Education and Teaching, the Computing Centre and the Student Services are involved. Places are limited, registration opens soon. The programme will be available here in good time, in the Montagsmail and on Instagram.
The university collects everything important on its page for beginning studies: the introductory events of the subjects, the checklist for new students, preparatory courses in STEM subjects and the orientation lecture "First Steps into Studies" by the Central Student Advice Service. The deadlines and dates of the university show you when the lecture period begins and ends. The lecture period in winter semester 2026/27 runs from 12 October 2026 to 5 February 2027.
For questions about your studies, the stuv advice service helps you further and points you to the right place. For worries within your subject, your Faculty Student Representation is there for you.
The Montagsmail arrives weekly by email and collects dates, jobs and news. You can also find stuv on Instagram at @stuv_uniwue.
