Commissions and Advisory Boards
In addition to the Senate, University Council and Extended University Board, there are many commissions, advisory boards and working groups at the university. Students have a say there when it comes to studies and teaching, finances, equality, sustainability or health. Here you can see where stuv is represented and who represents you there.
How students get into commissions
The commissions are appointed by the University Board or the Extended University Board. They advise the university and prepare decisions. As a rule, two students sit on them. The StuPa proposes them, the student senate members submit the proposals via the electoral office.
In the Presidential Commission for Quality in Studies and Teaching, four instead of two students have been sitting since 2026, which stuv has campaigned for. It elects the StuPa.
Status of appointments: September 2026.

Where no students sit
In the Standing Commission for the Investigation of Allegations of Scientific Misconduct, there are no students. According to the university's guidelines, it consists of five experienced researchers.
