CHARM-EU Student Council
The University of Würzburg belongs to the European university alliance CHARM-EU. Nine institutions from eight countries build joint study programmes, research and exchange there, among them Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht, Budapest, Montpellier, Åbo, Bergen and Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences. The students of the alliance are represented by the Student Council – with one person from Würzburg.
What the Student Faculty Council does
Voice of the students
It represents the perspective of students at the organisational level of the alliance and reports back on what decisions mean in everyday life.
Studies and life
Its topics are study matters, wellbeing and student life in the joint programmes.
Rotating chair
The council elects a chair and deputy from among its members. Both positions rotate every six months.
Who represents us
Members are elected by the students of their university and appointed for a maximum of two academic years.
How to get involved
In Würzburg, most recently the Student Parliament elected who represents us in the Student Council. There is no fixed rule for this yet – we are working on putting that in order.
Everything about the alliance is on the CHARM-EU website; the bodies and their members are listed on the Governancepage.
