Delegation in the Bavarian Student Council (BayStuRa)

The Bavarian State Student Council (BayStuRa) is the statutory representation of all students in Bavaria. The student representations of Bavarian universities meet there once a month on a weekend, each time at a different university. stuv attends with a delegation that elects the Student Parliament.

What BayStuRa does

Towards state politics

It represents students towards the Ministry of Science, the state parliament and the associations of Bavarian universities.

Exchange

Student representations from across Bavaria learn from one another and coordinate with each other.

Positions

For example on BAföG, on fair procedures for disability compensation, on awareness structures and against unnecessary attendance requirements.

An example: in 2025, the BayStuRa organised an art exhibition on the need for renovation at universities, which was reported on nationwide, for instance in the Süddeutschen Zeitung. As a result, universities in Bavaria received a large sum from the federal government's special assets. All resolutions and news can be found on the BayStuRa website.

Our delegation

Term of office 2025/26. The Student Parliament elects the delegation at least once a year and may elect additional delegates at any time.
