About us

Welcome to Student representation

We are the student representation of Universität Würzburg, in short stuv. Every year, around 200 students volunteer alongside their studies in Faculty Student Representation, Departments and committees. In addition, there is the secretariat, which keeps our operation running.

We represent the interests of around 22,000 students towards the university, student services, the city and politics. We mediate when problems arise in studies and shape campus life: events, theatre, newspaper, podcast, CampusGarten.

Our goal is the best conditions for studying: pioneering research, excellent teaching, modern infrastructure and international perspectives.

We are elected every year in the university elections by all students. Our work is enshrined in law, our meetings are public, and anyone can participate – even without being elected.

Student Government 2025/26 — The Speaker Council / Student Government (SSR) of the 2025/26 term.
