UPDATE FROM THE EDITORIAL TEAM – Sprachrohr digital

Summer semester 2020 started anything but ordinarily, but it did start. Instead of shared flat rooms and halls of residence idyll, many students are currently opening their laptops and books in their childhood bedrooms. The coronavirus crisis affects all people in this world – all in different ways and yet it shows how interconnected we are as a global community and how vulnerable at the same time. Meanwhile, we are already in the third week of semester and slowly most lecturers seem to have found their way between live broadcasts, Zoom calls, complex presentation slides and other technical possibilities into spontaneous digitalisation. WueCampus is well-filled and heavily used, yet social distancing is still being successfully maintained. First of all, we wish all students a good continuation of this extraordinary semester. We hope you are all healthy and stay that way. To those who need it most right now, we wish you much strength in these difficult times. The main topic of our new issue is "Protest!". The editorial team has been working on it for some months now. Publication was planned for the start of semester, but due to the changed situation you will currently not find printed copies in your letterboxes or at distribution points, and unfortunately this will remain the case. For the first time in the history of Sprachrohr, this semester will be different from what you are used to. At the same time, we are delighted to announce to you today that we will be appearing digitally very soon! At this point, we would like to thank especially the Student representation and all sponsors who are making this possible for us. And all the authors who have submitted articles so diligently and in such large numbers in recent weeks. As provocative as the main topic comes across, so strong this issue has become. Until then, you will find the first articles already here on the blog. The complete issue will then be available on the stuv homepage at https://www.uni-wuerzburg.de/stuv/referate-arbeitskreise/referat-presse-sprachrohr/.
