Dear readers,
Summer is drawing to a close, the leaves are falling from the trees, the days are getting shorter, the weather is becoming cosier. The world shines in different colours and the view from the lecture hall falls on autumnal Hubland landscapes.
A new semester begins, for some the last, for many the first. And with this (new) beginning comes at last the new edition of our little student newspaper. The beginning of autumn stands for change, and because we too are great fans of change, we are delighted to present Sprachrohr to you in a fresh new look! A new typeface, a different layout – a breath of fresh air sweeps through the pages of Sprachrohr.
The main theme of this edition is "By the way..!". We think that every sentence that begins with a "by the way" introduces something seemingly small, but often no less important. Something like "By the way, your mother called.", or "By the way, I wanted to tell you about my date!". The last edition of 2022 wants to focus on exactly these things; the niche, personal, and perhaps also subjective, but no less important topics.
We thank our hardworking editorial team for months of collaboration, patience and motivation. We are proud of the work that has been done and are curious to hear what you think. As always, the textual range of Sprachrohr extends beyond the main theme and encompasses interesting reviews, exciting guest contributions of all kinds and stimulating poetry.
Get yourself a hot drink of your choice, sit down somewhere you like and watch the leaves fall, and read something alongside that was written just for you.
By students, for students.
Enjoy reading!
With warmest regards,
V&V
