Internship abroad – Sprachrohr

An internship abroad? Sounds good at first. Unfortunately, you quickly realise that many exciting projects are not adequately paid or not paid at all. That's why we're introducing you to two possible funding options and scholarship providers for students below.

ERASMUS+

The Erasmus+ funding is aimed at all students who are seeking an internship in a public or private institution abroad.

All full-time internships lasting at least 2 months and a maximum of 12 months in one of the 34 partner countries (28 according to Uni Würzburg) within the EU are eligible for funding.

Type of funding: Scholarship holders receive a monthly financial grant of up to 600 euros (550 euros according to Uni Würzburg) depending on the destination country. In addition, scholarship holders are supported in the preparation and implementation of their stay abroad and receive academic recognition of the internship.

Application deadline: Students apply for Erasmus+ internship stays directly with their home university. As a rule, the proposal should be submitted at the latest two months (according to Uni Würzburg) before the internship begins.

Note: Internships in EU institutions and other EU bodies are not eligible for funding. Embassies or consulates of the home country are also not funded. In addition to Erasmus internship abroad Internship abroad , no further EU funding may be received.
