7-5-3 Rome emerges from the egg. The alleged birth hour of the Roman Empire. A truly historic event. As a history student at Universität Würzburg, however, it's not enough to wake up at 7:53. Already at 8:15 the lecture hall calls for the lecture. So quickly drink a café and then off by bus to uni. After the lecture, the exciting part of history studies begins: research. Currently I'm attending the proseminar on Weimar foreign policy and am therefore able to devote myself to the file collections of German Foreign Policy. Sounds like hours of leafing through, but is surprisingly really interesting. After that comes my second seminar, which covers the history of the military religious orders. For this I'm preparing a presentation on the Templars and am therefore able to engage with a Latin treatise. Well, Latin from school should be good for something. Now off to the mensa! Outside of my studies, I'm involved in the Student Subject Initiative for History. Here we organise, for example, introductory days for history students, various games evenings, excursions and much more. I hope you've been able to get a little insight into the everyday life of a history student and if you've become interested, do feel free to stop by our Student Subject Initiative.
