Sometimes I want an image to work. I look at it for a while and refuse to delete it if it doesn't. The world is full of bad images and I don't want to contribute to the production of more. Our attention is limited, storage space is not.
I believe the task of a photographer today is that of a perception filter. I perceive, photograph it, sort it, crop it, correct it, delete it … What remains I upload. I don't care whether anyone looks at it. No, that's a lie. I'm pleased when someone is interested.
I want recognition – I have to want it – and when someone gives it to me, I think to myself "of course the things are good", otherwise I wouldn't have shown them to you. They are good for me.
