About Us
Why do we organise the Unicup?
We study at Uni Würzburg ourselves and noticed that contact between students had suffered particularly during the coronavirus period. That's why we decided to organise an event together with the Student representation where the entire university comes together and experiences an unforgettable day.
Where did the idea come from?
A university-wide football tournament already takes place regularly with great success at many universities in Germany – Würzburg had none until 2023. Since football is by far the most popular sport and connects people worldwide, we had the idea of organising a Unicup in Würzburg as well.

To bring different people together.
The Organising Team
Unicup is organised by a team of volunteer students from Uni Würzburg – from a wide range of subjects, from economics through medicine and media communication to teacher training. The team is supported by the Student Government of the Student representation.
We meet approximately once every two weeks and discuss what's coming up. The event is organised entirely on a volunteer basis and aims solely to bring you together. Any profits go to the Student representation of Universität Würzburg.

Get Involved
Cool that you're interested in getting involved with the project. We meet together roughly once every two weeks and discuss what's coming up. If you don't have time or feel like it at some point, that's no problem – with this project, the rule is: everyone does only as much as they feel like doing.
You can support us with organising the project and/or on the day of the event. With the organisation, we make sure that everything is ready for the event. On the day of the event, you can get involved by, for example, moderating the event or serving drinks.
