The Department for Accessibility is currently inactive because it has neither a department head nor members. Until a new election, the SSR is responsible: ssr@uni-wuerzburg.de.

What it was about

The Department for Accessibility has advocated for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses. It was about obstacles in university everyday life, from steps to narrow toilet doors. And about barriers in people's minds: many are uncertain in their dealings with people with disabilities or don't even see their problems.

Where you can get support now

Contact and Information Centre (KIS)

The university's centre advises you on disability and chronic illness, including mental health. It lends aids and adapts study materials.

Apply for reasonable accommodations

You submit your application to the chair of the examination board, at the latest six weeks before your first exam. Get advice from the KIS beforehand.

A room is not accessible to you? Get in touch with the KIS. They will check with the building department what solution is possible.
