Bastian Balthasar Bux, a lonely boy, discovers a mysterious book and suddenly becomes part of the story himself. In the magical Phantásien, the "Nothing" threatens to devour everything, and only a human child can save the world. On his journey between reality and fantasy, Bastian encounters brave companions, dark forces and the question of his own identity. A poetic story about courage and hubris, self-discovery and the timeless power of imagination.
