Democracy and Anti-Fascism
Democracy is more than voting. It thrives on people discussing, arguing, demonstrating and having a say. The Department of Democracy and Anti-Fascism wants to make it easier for you to have a voice at the university.
We want to create transparency and ask how the student representative body can take a clear anti-fascist stance. Because we won't leave our university to the enemies of democracy.
The department is one of the Departments of the SSR. All students can get involved.

What we're planning
Educational work
We're planning reading circles, lectures and discussions on democracy and anti-fascism. They're open to everyone interested.
Networking
We're looking to exchange ideas with university groups and initiatives that stand up for democracy.
Actions
We want to organise actions around democracy and anti-fascism at the university and support those organised by others.
What we stand for
We are committed to a responsible, democratic university. This includes democratic structures at the university, but also a culture of participation.
Students should see themselves as informed citizens who have a say in decision-making at the university and in society.
Fresh start
Since the beginning of 2026, we have been rebuilding the Department. We are still a small team. What we implement next also depends on who gets involved.
