Student Faculty Council (FSR)
In the Student Faculty Council (FSR) students from all ten faculties come together. Here it is about matters that affect all subjects, for example digital teaching, study conditions and appointments. The meetings are open to the university public: You can come along, participate in discussions and submit proposals.
What the FSR does
Who sits in the FSR
In the FSR sit the student members of the Faculty Councils, two per faculty, so 20 people. As a rule, these are the two who received the most votes in their faculty in the university election. They also belong to their Faculty Student Representation. The term of office is one year and runs from 1 October to 30 September.
In the Medical Faculty and in the Faculty of Human Sciences, twice as many students sit on the Faculty Council, so four. Of them, the two with the most votes enter the Student Faculty Council. Anyone who is elected can waive their seat on the Student Faculty Council; then the next person from their own Faculty Student Representation moves up. That is why it is not always the two with the most votes.
How a meeting runs
The FSR meets at least twice per semester, preferably at the beginning and towards the end of the lecture period.
The invitation with agenda is sent at least one week in advance and is publicly available to the university community. proposals must be submitted in writing to the Chair no later than three working days before the meeting by 17:00.
You are welcome to listen, participate and submit proposals. Only elections, personnel matters and individual items decided by the FSR are not open to the public.
The minutes will be approved at the next meeting and then made publicly available to the university community within one week.
Do you want to change something? Submit a proposal.
All students at Uni Würzburg can submit proposals to the FSR. Send your proposal to the Chair no later than three working days before the meeting.
